Thanks to technology and a growing number of remote job opportunities, being a stay-at-home parent no longer means you have to put an end to your career and money-making goals. Want to pay the bills, earn some extra cash, or save for retirement? These flexible jobs may be just the opportunity you've been searching for.

There are plenty of part-time, work-from-home job openings right now, all of which are perfect for parents who want to stay at home to raise their children. Covering a variety of industries including education, business, healthcare, and more, these positions allow moms and dads to make money without giving up 40 or more hours of their schedule every week-all from the comfort of their home.

What's more, you can expect to see even more part-time telecommuting jobs listed in the coming years. "Right now, about 20 percent of all workers work part-time in the U.S. and by 2020, that figure is expected to rise to 40 percent," Brie Reynolds, the senior career specialist at Remote.co tells WomansDay.com. "Remote jobs are also growing, we've experienced a 52 percent increase in remote listings in the last two years."

Right now, around 43 percent of women quit working when they have children, according to The Atlantic, but you don't have to be one of them if you don't want to. Here are 10 flexible, part-time jobs, which are ideal for busy parents.

1. Virtual Executive assistant: In this role, you'll aid company leaders by coordinating meetings, balancing schedules, arranging logistics, managing projects, organizing and creating materials for teams, and more.

2. Online tutor: You'll find plenty of opportunities to teach a variety of subjects, or prepare students of all levels for various exams. From writing and math aids, to ESL teachers, and GMAT or GRE tutors-there's something for everyone who loves to teach.

3. Adjust faculty or professor: Use your career experience to prepare the next generation of workers in accounting, IT, design, business, science, and much more at institutions like DeVry, Grand Canyon University, University of Maryland, John Hopkins, and more.

4. Recruiter: In this human resources role, you'll work to recruit candidates for positions, create sourcing strategies to find talent, communicate with operations team, and much more.

5. Transcriptionist: Many of these openings do not require experience and pay by the hour, making it a flexible job open to people of all backgrounds.

6. Account manager: Also called a virtual bookkeeper, this position requires employees to oversee and process payrolls, manage budgets, perform data entry, create monthly reports, and manage cash flow, among other accounting tasks.

7. Event coordinator: You'll plan events, coordinate schedules, prepare and execute events, recruit talent and speakers, work with clients, create programming, and more.

8. Medical Billing and Coding: Employees enter data from medical records and reports, ensure accuracy, and may work with hospitals or care providers to provide further information. You'll likely need some experience and training in these fields, which require part-time workers to be well-versed in the required technologies and systems used by these teams.

9. Community liaison: In this customer service position, you will manage programs, moderate content, answer questions, coordinate services, and be the point of contact between the brand and consumer.

10. Content writer: Use your writing and editing skills to research stories, write original articles and content for publishers, proofread and edit content, and manage projects, among other tasks, for a variety of outlets and websites.
