Whether we like it or not, for better or worse, we've been launched into an era of social distancing. Many of us are having to get comfy and cozy with being homebound for the first time ever, while others are just living their best couchbound, binge-watching lives in leggings. If you're working on embracing your inner homebody, allow us to introduce you to the Taurus way.

Taurus, the second sign of the zodiac, ruled by romantic, beauty-loving Venus, could teach a master class on how to Netflix and chill. As a fixed earth sign, they might be best known for being, well, hard-headed. And sure, they have a tendency to dig their heels in (although they're not the only ones — we're looking at you, Scorpios, Leos, and Aquarians), but they're also lovers of luxury, art, comfort food, and all things cozy and security-bolstering. With a long fuse and innate appreciation for slowing down and being in the moment, they were basically born to cope with this often frenetic moment.

It also bears noting that Taurus is the ruler of the second house of income and values, so while the pragmatic earth sign might be happiest on their couch, they prioritize — not to mention bring passion and creativity to — their hustle.

In other words, there's a lot to learn from the sign of the Bull, under which plenty of charismatic stars were born. Consider Lizzo exuding all the joy by simply lounging around in her undies, Jessica Alba making the most of quarantine by doing TikToks with her kids, or Kelly Clarkson moonlighting as a home organizer.

Here, we're celebrating some of our favorite Taurus celebrities who are pros at showing us how to stay down-to-earth, embrace your sensuality, and make the most of that home life.

1. Lizzo

The Grammy Award-winning singer, rapper, songwriter, and flutist, who celebrates her birthday on April 27, exudes sensual, Venus-informed Taurean energy. In addition to being a nonstop hitmaker, she's a politically vocal force to be reckoned with on social media, frequently sharing body-positive posts in which she appears as comfy as she does glamorous. She even turned an empowering message into couture last year when she appeared on the Billboard Music Awards in her memorable "Vote" dress. And, in true Taurus fashion, the majorly talented musician has gone on record flaunting her covetable home design, which features bean bags and peach-shaped neon signs.

2. Adele

From her classic, retro fashion sense to her heart-soaring, tear-jerking ballads, the critically-acclaimed, record-breaking songbird is a perfectly illustrated example of hard-working, grounded Taurus energy. Born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins on May 5, the soulful singer has been putting her nose to the grindstone to build her career since she was a kid. Also quite Venusian: Adele also supports fellow artists through the nonprofit, MusiCares, which provides a safety net for musicians in need.

3. Jessica Alba

In the '90s, the actress and entrepreneur, born on April 28, might have been best known for her role in Dark Angel — and appearing in a poster tacked to just about every teen guy's wall. But these days, she's equally known for co-founding The Honest Company — which sells household goods, diapers, and body care products — and being a fun-loving mom of three who often pairs up with them for fun PJ-clad TikToks. In other words, Alba is 100% living her Taurean truth as a professional domestic goddess.

4. Cher

Nothing short of an outright icon for decades, Cher, born Cherilyn Sarkisian on May 20, is a true artist who has made a lasting impression in just about every medium possible from TV to music, film (Mermaids, The Witches of Eastwick, Moonstruck, oh my!) to fashion (her partnership with Bob Mackie is the stuff of legends and Barbie dolls). Described as "embodying female autonomy in a male-dominated industry," you can't get much more Venusian than Cher. And over the years, the superstar has also lent her powerful voice and platform to progressive politics, philanthropy, and social activism, including LGBT rights and HIV/AIDS prevention.

5. Aidy Bryant

The Emmy Award winning Saturday Night Live cast member and Shrill star, born on May 7, no doubt found it easy to keep audiences laughing from home last spring when the pandemic first began, thanks to her Taurus ways. She chatted with Architectural Digest about how her artistic impulses play out in her home design, explaining that as a writer she needs a "comfortable creative space that feels like you can think."

6. Penelope Cruz

Born on April 28, the Spanish actress and model has been working since her teens. A beauty brand spokesperson and model for Mango, Ralph Lauren, Chanel, and L'Oréal, Penelope Cruz is clearly in tune with her innate beauty-loving Venusian energy. And having volunteered in Uganda and India, where she spent one week working with Mother Teresa, Cruz also embodies her earth sign's commitment to creating a more secure, humane world for everyone.

7. Gal Gadot

While she might be best known as Wonder Woman, the glamorous Israeli actress, born on April 30, is also a producer and model who, in 2018, was named by TIME as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. With credits like that, it might be tough to see her as down-to-earth, but a quick glimpse at the big screen superhero's Instagram and TikTok proves she's 100% a chill, foodie Taurus who enjoys posting snaps of her pretty acai bowls ("Love it when I'm good to myself") and ice cream ("My head says save the world! My heart says eat more Ice cream!").

8. Rosario Dawson

Ever since the actress, activist, and producer hit the scene in 1995's Kids, Rosario Dawson, born on May 9, has had a successful career on both big and small screens. Exuding heartfelt, hardworking Taurus energy, she's dedicated her time to a variety of charities, such as the Lower East Side Girls Club, environmental group Global Cool, One Campaign, Operation USA, Oxfam, Amnesty International, Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), the International Rescue Committee, Voto Latino, and more. And most recently, she's made headlines for her sweet romance with fellow Taurus Senator Cory Booker.

9. Gigi Hadid

A 21st-century supermodel if there ever was one, Gigi Hadid, born on April 23, has become a mainstay on the runway, in advertisements, and gossip columns, as fans love hearing about her sweet romance with singer-songwriter Zayn Malik. The new mom has also been vocal about social justice throughout safer at home orders, launching a quarantine journal for which a percentage of the sales were donated to four organizations: Black Lives Matter, the NAACP, the ACLU, and Campaign Zero, with a personal donation by Hadid.

10. Kimora Lee Simmons

Born on May 4, Kimora Lee Simmons absolutely exudes Taurean values and energy by being a force as an entrepreneur, Baby Phat fashion designer, TV personality, author, philanthropist, and model. Known for her lounge-ready styles and body products, Simmons perpetually brings a Venus-informed love of beauty, comfort, luxury lifestyle, and female-focused causes to her work. For instance, Simmons joined The Global Innovation Coalition for Change (GICC) in partnership with UN Women to advance women and girls in innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship and supports Freedom Shield Foundation, an organization that rescues women and children from human trafficking.

11. Tina Fey

The actress, comedian, writer, producer, and playwright, born on May 18, became SNL's first female head writer and soon became known for her appearances in "Weekend Update" and parodying Sarah Palin alongside Virgo BFF Amy Poehler's Hillary Clinton. Then, she wrote Mean Girls and created 30 Rock and gifted us lines we'll be quoting for decades to come. Her prolific career is proof positive that when a Taurus commits to making her dreams a reality, there's no stopping her — literally, ever.

12. Kelly Clarkson

The first-ever American Idol has come a long way since she rose to fame in 2002 after winning the first season of the competition show. These days, Kelly Clarkson, born on April 24, hosts a successful daytime talk show, is raising her two kids, and is a brand ambassador for Wayfair with her own home line (file that under big Taurus goals). Typifying Taurean values, Clarkson told House Beautiful, "Home is where the heart is. As a working mom, I cherish my time at home with my family. I take great pride in the fact that we have created a home that is filled with love and warmth and that is very much represented in the décor throughout the house."
