All the 'AGT: Champions' Golden Buzzer Picks of Season 2

Just like in previous America's Got Talent seasons, AGT: The Champions season 2 has granted the judges — Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and newcomer Alesha Dixon — the power to automatically send through their favorite contestants to the next round via the golden buzzer.

In case you need a refresher, the golden buzzer in AGT: The Champions is a coveted honor that automatically puts the contestant in the finals show (by contrast, the golden buzzer in the summer edition of AGT sends the act to the semifinals live shows). As always, each judge only gets to select one act for the honor.

Everyone brought their A-game to the premiere of Champions, but Angelina ended up outshining them all. The 13-year-old singer, who won Norway's Got Talent season 6 when she was only seven, performed a gorgeous rendition of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." Heidi loved the performance so much that she gave the young vocalist the golden buzzer without hesitation.

Simon Cowell already was a huge fan of Boogie Storm before the dancing troupe stepped onto the Champions stage this year. The head judge had watched them succeed and become finalists on Britain's Got Talent in 2016 and wanted them badly to have another shot at the top prize. And so, in historic fashion, on the night Howie Mandel was supposed to bestow his golden buzzer on an act, Simon gave the honor to the dancing Storm Troopers instead. But don't worry, Howie still got a chance to give away his golden buzzer ...

Turns out, Howie was saving his golden buzzer for the acrobatic dancing group and AGT 2019 finalists. After the dancers came in second place to Kodi Lee last year, Howie made sure to send the talented crew straight to the finals this time around. "This is a moment, this is the moment you have been waiting for," Howie said before pressing the golden buzzer.

The shadow dance group first made waves back in 2006 on AGT. Fourteen years later though, the finalists are well on their way to earning the Champions title after illustrating an emotional story of a dog and a veteran during the audition round. Alesha Dixon was so moved by the performance that she gave the dancers the golden buzzer, telling them that their routine was "so moving" and "so beautiful."
