In order to gauge a serum's efficacy, Dr. Peredo recommends paying close attention to its ingredient list. "The higher the percentage of active ingredient in the serum, the more potent the serum will be," she explains. "So you should be mindful of how much you are using. If you have sensitive skin, I recommend choosing a serum with a lower percentage of active ingredients because the skin can become irritated if too much is used. It all depends on the condition of the skin and the serum used, as to how quickly you will see results."
