£24.95m former Harrods bakery up for sale as a home

A six-bedroom duplex apartment in Knightsbridge’s Trevor Square, which was once home to Harrod’s depository, bakery and chocolate factory is up for sale for £24.95m ($34m).

The property, which was also used for packaging and storing luxury goods, is the “amalgamation of four apartments into one purpose-built, lateral home with luxurious details throughout,” said its joint sole agents Beauchamp Estates and Savills.

Jeremy Gee, managing director of Beauchamp Estates said the apartment “offers extensive living space with grand proportions throughout” and talked up its “triple reception room” and “sweeping marble staircase.”

On the fifth floor is a 75 foot reception room comprising of a grand reception room, with 10 feet high ceiling and large windows, opening onto a formal dining room and a media room.

The kitchen has integrated appliances and a large central island, opening onto a private terrace for al fresco dining.

The main bedroom has two walk-in dressing rooms with bespoke fitted storage space and twin marble-clad bathrooms, joined by a walk-through steam shower.

There are a four guest bedrooms, three of which are en suite, with one opening onto a second private terrace.

One of the bedrooms has been styled as a large dressing room, with extensive fitted cabinets for shoes, clothes and accessories.
