29 Stunningly Pretty Looks From Bridal Fashion Week

Calling all newly minted fiancées, soon-to-be brides, and just sheer wedding eye-candy fans — the Bridal Fashion Week Spring 2018 collections are finally here.

Stylistically, the collections were a blend between old and new. Traditional materials such as lace, tulle, and silk were reworked into new, modern silhouettes and forms. One example is the trendy off-the-shoulder top look reworked as a wedding dress. At Lela Rose, a model wore a long, crisp white gown featuring an off-the-shoulder panel made of tiny, perfect, delicate white pearls.

White gowns were still the majority, but black wedding dresses seem to be back. These Old Hollywood-style gowns were part of the Reem Acra show and are options from Reformation‘s newly launched bridal collection.

Other seasoned bridal designers, such as Vera Wang, took different approaches this season. Wang, for example, ditched drama and volume to showcase dresses with soft, delicate pleats and elongated sleeves — a style seen most prominently on the high-fashion catwalk.

Pantsuits are now officially part of bridal wear. Actress Evan Rachel Wood broke the ice for pantsuits on the red carpet when she wore one to the Golden Globes this year. Now, Oscar de la Renta has introduced its own modern take on the “female tux,” which includes an exciting, silver-sequined corset.
