The $45 fashion accessory Meghan Markle wore and you can still buy

Since the announcement of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s royal engagement, the fashion world has been laser-focused on Markle’s style.

Fortunately, there’s still one fashion accessory worn by Markle — not once, but twice — that’s still available: a skinny black leather belt from Aritzia.

Markle, on a Monday visit to Reprezent 107.3 FM in London, wore the belt as part of a monochromatic jet-black look, along with a Marks & Spencer bell-sleeve blouse and Burberry wide-legged trousers. And the accessory, affordably priced at just $45, is a steal compared with elements of some of her past sartorial looks.

It turns out that Aritzia is a favorite of Markle’s, who has worn the brand six times and counting. For the fashion crowd, Aritzia is the go-to retailer for women seeking timeless wardrobe staples. And it is clearly a staple in Markle’s style book, whether it’s a skinny leather belt, cocktail dress, tailored blazer, button-up linen shirt, wool sweater, or casual hoodie.

Markle has shown us that she is not into frivolous, fussy, or over-the-top looks when it comes to her fashion choices, instead opting for simple, classic, elegant pieces. Her aesthetic has already been compared to that of the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, whose signature minimalist style is revered to this day. And, similar to Kate Middleton, Markle has proved her powerful fashion selling power, which some have already dubbed the “Meghan Markle effect.”

The $750 Line the Label white coat Markle wore during the couple’s engagement photo call created such a high demand, for example, that the brand’s site crashed; founders of the label then decided to name the coat “Meghan” in her honor. And in December, during one of Markle’s first public outings with Prince Harry in Nottingham, she wore a $790 navy military-style coat by Mackage and carried a $675 burgundy top handle bag by Strathberry — causing both items to sell out almost immediately. On another occasion, Markle wore a lacy A-line dress by Self-Portrait that wound up the same way: Sold. Out.

Avoid missing your chance this time by grabbing the belt before it’s gone. Then scroll through to see all the times Markle has worn Aritzia.
