51-year-old Halle Berry wows in very revealing Reem Acra gown at NAACP Awards
Stars hit the red carpet in Pasadena, California, on Monday night for the 49th NAACP Image Awards. Among the A-list pack in attendance was Halle Berry, who was there to present the Music Makes a Difference award to Charlie Wilson.
The 51-year-old picked out a rather brave strapless, red and black lace gown for the occasion. The Reem Acra number boasted a transparent skirt (that didn’t appear to be paired with any underwear), with a lace panel running down the centre protecting the star’s modesty, and a glittering train.
The dress isn’t new; it was debuted in February 2016 on the New York Fashion Week runway as part of the designer label’s autumn/winter 2016 collection.
The former Bond girl finished the look with black, stud earrings and an updo.
Other stars at the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People awards included ‘Scandal’ star Kerry Washington, who wowed in a strappy, full-skirt black gown.
The 40-year-old star accessorised with a statement bracelet and earrings.
‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ actress Samira Wiley added a pop of colour to the red carpet in a lemon yellow dress by occasionwear designer Romona Keveza.
‘Stranger Things’ actor Caleb McLaughlin, 16, looked incredibly dapper in a shiny, moss green suit and Diana Ross’ daughter, actress Tracee Ellis Ross, showed off her sartorial prowess in a metallic, midi dress by Narciso Rodriguez.
The 45-year-old completed the look with a Tyler Ellis clutch, Tiffany jewellery and Louboutin pumps. A vintage YSL feather jacket, from the star’s own wardrobe, was worn as a cover up.
