At 55, Cindy Crawford's Skin Is Straight Up Glowing In A New No-Makeup Selfie

  • Cindy Crawford has always been fastidious about taking care of herself. And it's pretty clear from her new IG story that everything Cindy is doing is working.

  • In the photo, Cindy is casually soaking in the bathtub with zero makeup on—looking beyond fresh and fabulous.

  • The 55-year-old supermodel credits "eating right, getting enough sleep, and drinking lots of water" for her flawless complexion. Also: She hasn't skipped a day of sunscreen since she was 19.

Fact: Cindy Crawford has gorgeous skin. And the supermodel just casually showed it off while lounging in the bathtub with absolutely no makeup on.

“Started off the day with a morning soak,” Cindy wrote on her Instagram Stories over a pic of herself in the tub. In the photo, Cindy has her hair up in a loose bun and her skin is straight-up glowing. Aaand that was it. Cindy wasn’t trying to plug anything, she was just hanging out in the bath, looking all amazing.

While the supermodel—who is 55, by the way—has great genes, she’s also made it clear that she works hard for that skin. Last year during an interview with Byrdie, Cindy compared taking care of her skin to working out.

“You work out once—you don't really see a big difference. But if you work out regularly for years, you do,” she said. “I think skincare is the same way. So I've made taking care of my skin part of my routine.”

Cindy also said that she feels like it’s “never too early, and never too late, to start taking care of your skin.”

Cindy makes it clear that she tries to take care of her skin from the inside out. “Looking good is about eating right, getting enough sleep, and drinking lots of water,” Cindy told CR Fashion Book. “Also, you have to get moving. I work out several times a week, and I hike and ride bikes.”

Oh, and she’s not afraid to splurge when it comes to her skincare. “I've also learned that's where you want to spend the money—anything that goes on your skin,” Cindy told Byrdie. “You can get a less expensive mascara, you can get a less expensive lip gloss or nail polish, but anything that's actually on your skin is worth investing in.”

Cindy broke down her morning routine to CR Fashion Book: “For my skin, it really is three to five products in the morning and about the same at night,” she said. Cindy also told Byrdie that she cleans her skin in the shower, and likes to apply serums while her skin is still damp so it really gets in there.

At night, Cindy is big on taking her makeup off. She then likes to reach for a retinol cream like her own Meaningful Beauty night crème. “For cell turnover, especially as you get older, I think that [retinol] becomes more and more important," she told Byrdie.

One thing Cindy has made clear, though, is that she doesn’t wake up looking all iconic.

“I always say even I don't wake up looking like Cindy Crawford,” she previously told Redbook. “What people see on magazine covers is one moment that was perfect—the wind, the light, the hair, the makeup. That's a two-hour process. It's good to have an awareness of that outside pressure, but I can't let it get to my core.”

That skin, though…
