These 6 nurses from the same department are pregnant at the same time

The next few months are going to be incredibly busy for hematology/oncology nurses at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center — six of them are expecting babies during that time! Click through above to see their names and due dates.

The women are all in the same outpatient hematology/oncology unit in the hospital’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, and they’re expecting babies with due dates ranging from late July to mid-December.

The women — Katie Carlton, Emily Johnson, Nikki Huth, Sabrina Hudson, Nina Day, and Bethany Stringer are becoming known as “the Fabulous Six Pack” to patients, according to NBC affiliate WXII 12 in Winston-Salem, N.C. Two of the women will be first-time moms, while the other four already have another child, hospital spokeswoman Eryn Johnson tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

The co-workers knew they all wanted to get pregnant but were surprised they all did it at once. “Each time that we found out somebody else was pregnant, it was like, well who is next?” Day told WXII 12.

“All of these nurses have spoken highly about sharing their pregnancy journeys together along with the support, advice, and tips they’ve been able to share,” Johnson says. “[It’s] quite the bond that’s been established.”

It sounds like trying to figure out maternity leave coverage would be a nightmare, but apparently it’s all set. “Plans are in place for when the nurses do go on maternity leave so that patient care is continued and maintained,” Johnson says.
