Sharon Stone has still got it!
The 60-year-old actress stole the spotlight as she arrived on the red carpet at The Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s (WCRF) An Unforgettable Evening in Beverly Hills.
Dressed in a black jumpsuit with jewel-encrusted detail and a striking cheetah print coat, the “Casino” star rubbed elbows with some of Hollywood’s biggest female power players, including Miley Cyrus and Kate Hudson.
“I believe that now our voices, particularly women’s voices now that we are finally being heard can help other women particularly in this area of breast cancer,” Stone told reporters on the red carpet. “Anyone my age has probably lost someone to breast cancer, and I think we all know it’s time for our voices to be heard.”
Earlier this year, it was announced that Stone would star in the upcoming Ryan Murphy series, “Ratched,” a prequel to “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” The 18-episode Netflix series will co-star Sarah Paulson as Nurse Ratched as well as “Sex and the City” alum, Cynthia Nixon.
Inside the star-studded gala, celebrities such as Demi Moore, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, Paris Hilton and designer Tom Ford mixed and mingled for a night dedicated to honouring and paying tribute to survivors and those impacted by breast cancer.
The WCRF event was a success with honorary event chairs Rita Wilson, Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw help raise over $1.5 million USD towards breast cancer research. The evening also presented Hudson and actress Gabrielle Union with awards for their contributions to raising breast cancer awareness.
“We have seen the power of women, women who raise their voices to activate change — so it is with tremendous privilege that we honour Kate Hudson and Gabrielle Union,” Wilson said of this year’s honourees. “These are not women who sit on their laurels. Kate and Gabrielle are women of action and we are thrilled to recognize their meaningful contribution to changing lives and improving women’s health.”
