Actress Jaime King recently joined forces with Gardner and the Gang to launch The Lion’s Heart, a gender-neutral children’s clothing line. While King is certainly not the first to invest in all-inclusive apparel, she is bringing more attention to the importance of genderless clothing options.
King opened up to People saying, “Somehow, the world decided that boys belong in blue and girls belong in pink and anything other than that is weird or strange and in some ways frowned upon–as if allowing a boy to wear purple or hot pink is steering them in the wrong direction.”
The Lion’s Heart collection features “playful prints that are both meaningful and fun” and some of the prints show “animals that you’d typically not see in the animal kingdom getting along, sharing a milkshake.” Items from the clothing line run between $40 - $150 and are available for babies as small as nine months up to children of eight-years-old.
