8 impossibly cute images of wet dogs you can't help but smile at

To brighten your day, Canine Cottages has shared eight adorable images of wet dogs as part of their new competition — and the winners will make you smile.

With over 500 entries, the top pups were put on social media to let the public decide which was most deserving of first place. In total, there were over 7,000 votes and a reach of 200,000 people on social media.

"It's amazing to see how many people got involved with this competition. All the submissions were extremely cute, and it was so difficult to form a shortlist," Shannon Keary, Digital PR Manager at Canine Cottages, says. "It's great to see dogs having fun both indoors and outdoors and the eight finalists are all worthy winners in their own right. Congratulations to Arthur and his owners on winning first place!"
