I'm a fortunate person, but for the last few months, sleeping in my New York City apartment has been a fiery hell. My bed is right against the main radiator, which blasts 80 degree heat, no matter what I tell the thermostat. With each day that I wake up tired and covered in sweat, I can feel the bags and shadows around my eyes multiplying. Which means I've been on the hunt for relief via eye cream (demand a fix from my landlord? In New York City?), and according to hundreds of Amazon shoppers, Acure's Radically Rejuvenating Eye Cream is the one to try.

The 100 percent vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free brand has an excellent track record — take the face scrub, bakuchiol serum, and whipped night cream people love — so it makes sense that its under-$20 eye cream would be just as good. Going by the reviews, the effects are pretty legendary. As one person with dark circles and puffy bags described, it succeeded where all else failed. "I've tried all the eye brightening, tightening, etc. creams to no avail...[but] one application of this miracle cream, and something in it causes my eye bags to reduce back into my socket," the user wrote.

"They go from being 'big mama' bags to just a hint of baby bags... it is quite truly shocking," they finished. Others wrote that they saw a noticeable improvement immediately upon dabbing the cream on; it goes on smoothly, plumps the thin skin under their eyes, and even won a recommendation from their eye doctor, who *would* know a great eye cream.

Even those who thought their wrinkles were untouchable are impressed. "I am almost done with my first bottle, and the other day I noticed that my first eye wrinkles have significantly reduced, and I had to look hard to find them. I am amazed." And where some mention that other eye creams made them break out, Acure's "saved [their] face" — so much so that for the first time since high school, concealer isn't necessary for one reviewer near 40.

So, what's in the tube? Acure centers the eye cream's use of chlorella, a single-celled green algae, which means it joins a rising trend of algae-focused skin treatments (see also: Olivia Munn's favorite Mara face oil, Reese Witherspoon's go-to eye cream, and Osea's shopper-loved Undaria Algae Body Oil). The formula also includes cultured edelweiss extract (cue Christopher Plummer), along with cultured centella asiatica, cultured white horehound, and cultured echinacea. Argan oil, safflower seed oil, shea butter, and vitamin E come in for hydration, as ubiquinone and a host of fruit and flower extracts add antioxidants.

The combination paves the way for results within seven days, according to reviewers. "The little wrinkles and fine lines under and around my eyes are gone, and the skin feels soft and smooth," said a fan; another said that within two weeks, their under-eye shadows and puffiness had lessened. The bottom line, as a last person wrote: "Great product that takes the puffiness away from under your eyes and makes you look 10 years younger."

You heard it here first, folks. Try the eye cream while it's $15 for Cyber Week, as opposed to its normal $17. I know I'm going to — I might still wake up sweaty, but at least I don't have to look as tired as I feel.
