New Accuser Alleges Trump Grabbed Her Breast
On Thursday, civil rights attorney Gloria Allred introduced Karena Virginia, a yoga teacher from New Jersey, who is accusing Donald Trump of sexual misconduct. Virginia, alleges that Trump grabbed her breast in 1998, when she was 27 years old.
“Many people advised me not to speak publicly about what Donald Trump has done to me," Virginia said. "Perhaps he will label me another ‘nasty woman.’”
She claims that Trump approached her while she was waiting for a car at the U.S. Open in Queens, New York, in 1998. Virginia overheard him telling the men he was with, "Hey look at this one, we haven’t seen her before. Look at those legs.”
According to Virginia, Trump then reached out and grabbed her right arm, before grabbing the side of her right breast. When she flinched, he said, "Don’t you know who I am?"
"I felt intimidated and powerless," said Virigina, who is the 10th woman to accuse Trump of sexual misconduct. She said that Trump’s behavior made her feel "ashamed," and she stopped wearing short dresses or heels, and that she only realized she was victimized by Trump five years ago.
“Mr. Trump, perhaps you do not remember me or what you did to me so many years ago,” she said. “But, I can assure you that I remember you and what you did to me as though it was yesterday. Your random moment of sexual pleasure came at my expense and affected me greatly.”
During the final presidential debate Wednesday, Trump’s denied the numerous sexual assault and harassment allegations against him and asserted that “nobody has more respect for women than I do.” Allred called Trump’s comment "ludicrous" and said there is no evidence that the accusers’s stories have been debunked.
“Today’s victim also is noteworthy in that her allegations demonstrate how Mr. Trump selects his victims at random," she said.
Virgina is not considering legal action against Trump.
