Actress Arielle Vandenberg is showing off her facial hair for a good cause.

This week, Vandenberg and her boyfriend Matt Cutshall posed mid-shave to share a message about men’s health. “Celebrating the #FossilxMovember collab by shaving my girlfriends mustache,” Cutshall captioned the photo. “Grow a mo save a bro.” The pair worked with Fossil to coordinate a charity effort: With any purchase of Matt’s watch, the brand will donate 20 percent of sales to the Movember foundation.

Vandenberg’s shaving cream ‘stache may have just been for show, but plenty of women actually do shave their faces.

As beloved beauty YouTuber Huda Kattan explained, many women do choose to shave to get rid of unwanted facial hair. Kattan uses a dry face and a straight-blade razor to get the softest shave on her skin. According to her, even Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor reached for their razors.

Beauty editor Kirbie Johnson also prefers to shave off her ‘stache. She opts for a dry shave, no shaving cream needed, to remove hair from her jawline, upper lip, chin, and forehead.

Arielle and Matt’s Instagram fan is torn on the idea of shaving your girlfriend’s face. A few commenters are pro-shave: “Man I love you both #relationshipgoals.” Others are wary of letting anyone near your face with a razor: “The amount of trust in this photo… #goals.”
