Slowly but surely, the rules about what is beautiful in the fashion world are changing.

And a very small person who demonstrates that is adorable Lily Beddall, a toddler with Down syndrome who’ll now become one of the new faces of U.K. brand Matalan’s children’s wear line.

Beddall’s photo will appear in all of the chain’s stores in a bid to change perceptions about people with disabilities.

The little girl’s parents, Vicki and Eddie, are thrilled.

“The contract is all about inclusion and changing the face of beauty,” Vicki told The Independent.

“It is wonderful that Matalan chose a child with Down syndrome.”

“It’s all about breaking down stereotypes and showing that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and abilities.”

After the photos went up, the pair apparently took Lily to one of the stores — and she instantly recognized herself, posing for a photo with one of the pictures.

Her mother added: “We are so proud of her and we are so proud of everything she has achieved. It is the best thing to have happened to us.”

“Down Syndrome is not what you expect. It is hard work sometimes, but she was going to be hard work anyway as she is two years old.”
