Fan-favorite loungewear and intimates brand Aerie is making a splash this summer with a new brightly colored line of “you wear” called SMOOTHEZ by Aerie. This new line of intimates is described as “light as air,” making it perfect for those looking for underwear that is almost like a second skin.
SMOOTHEZ by Aerie is essentially the brand’s version of anti-shapewear, as it promises not to squeeze or shrink you but to stretch and move with you. As Aerie is all about celebrating the real you, this fresh collection feels like a natural extension of the brand’s current offerings.
In a press release, Jennifer Foyle, the executive creative director of American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie, shared, “We are incredibly excited to introduce a much-needed update to shapewear with SMOOTHEZ by Aerie to set women free with first-layer, second-skin intimates. Aerie makes products that support our REAL mission, and we believe no one should ever hide or contain who they are.”
The collection includes regular bras, bralettes, underwear and a new Bra-ish. This new bra/bralette hybrid is basically a wireless bra with movable pads, and Aerie calls it “our most supportive fit yet.”
Each super soft, lightweight piece in the SMOOTHEZ by Aerie collection is made for mixing, matching and layering so you create your own perfect combination. Ranging from $8.95 to $49.95, these are no-brainer additions to your underwear drawer.
