If you’re looking to channel some of Hollywood’s biggest stars while working from home, look no further than Alo Yoga’s Moto leggings. Loved by Hilary Duff, Kaia Gerber and Gigi Hadid, just to name a few, the Los Angeles brand designs leggings that look just as good running errands as they do on the yoga mat.

Designed with four-way stretch fabric and medium compression, these leggings lift, shape and support the body through every movement – regardless whether you’re stretching it out in yoga or signing on to your third Zoom meeting of the day.

Practicing brand sustainability, Alo promises their garments are produced 100 per cent sweatshop free and their office is completely solar-powered. The brand also uses a waste management program to reduce their global footprint.

So whether you’re looking to up your work-from-home uniform, support sustainable brands or simply feel like a Hollywood starlet from your couch, these high waist leggings are stylish, flattering and, most importantly, comfortable.

What are they?

While these leggings may not have been designed with back-to-back virtual meetings in mind, the sleek legging is a stylish alternative to your usual sweats. With pin-tucked panelling, these leggings give a cool, moto aesthetic. With seamless construction and a high rise, comfort is top of mind in the design of these pants.

A wide elastic waist provides extra support, promising to flatter all figures due to the clean lines of the panelling and seamless exterior. As with all athletic wear, it’s recommended you hand wash and lay these leggings to dry.

What people are saying

Aside from their moto-inspired design, customers love these leggings for their versatility and comfortable fit.

"Bought these just to see what the hype is and ended up loving them! I love the moto details...wore them for a hike and out to shop as part of a athleisure look and loved them,” reads one review.

“These leggings are very cute on and comfortable! I'm 5'4 130lbs and pretty muscular and the small fits perfect and hits right above my ankle,” adds another.

For customers, the only downfall of these leggings is the sizing. As they fit quite small, some fans have found the leggings are see through when working out.

“I love these leggings. I have the regular length which were too long but I still kept them because I love them so much. When I saw these in 7/8, I thought it would be the perfect fit, and they were. However… they are so see through! I ordered the white ones and was so excited, but they are extremely see through, such a disappointment!” warns one review.

“Man I wish I could keep these, but they failed the squat test. Design is very cute, however, I can't do a downward dog with these. These will have to go back,” adds another.

The verdict

Flattering, stylish and comfortable, these Alo High-waist Moto 7/8 Leggings are popular for all the right reasons. While they’re perfect for lounging or working from home, customers warn they aren’t workout-friendly due to a slightly see-through look when squatting or practicing yoga. If you’re looking for leggings that are both stylish and squat-proof, these may not be for you.
