Amador deputies arrest man who escaped April court appearance

Weeks after a man escaped from an Amador County courthouse, officials on Tuesday said they found and arrested him. David Lee Salke Jr. is a parolee who was due to appear in court April 27, but the 35-year-old managed to run from law enforcement. According to the Amador County Sheriff's Office, he dove under a barbed wire fence, entered a construction, stole a truck from an on-site contractor and led officers on a chase on southbound Highway 49 toward Calaveras County.
