It's been brought to my attention that I might have an addiction to ordering things online from Amazon Canada. In 2021, I placed 129 orders from the online retailer, having everything from groceries to household items brought conveniently to my door. Am I ashamed? Yes. Did I find some gems that I can't live without? Oh, yes.
One of my guilty pleasures is without a doubt watching cleaning videos on TikTok and learning useful tips and tricks through Instagram. One of the accounts I follow is Clean Co, a Calgary-based cleaning company with a massive online following of more than 2.3 million.

What is it?
The EasyWring Microfibre Spin Mop & Bucket Floor Cleaning System has a built in hands-free wringer that makes it easy to clean your floors without leaving puddles of water everywhere.
To use, you simply fill the bucket up to the designated maximum line with your desired water and cleaning solution, dunk your mop and then place it into the wringer. A few pumps on the pedal with your foot (I like to do 10) spins the mop head to remove excess water, and then it's ready for cleaning.

The microfibre mop head can be used for wet or dry cleaning and then tossed into the washing machine for cleaning. Vileda recommends replacing your mop-head every three months which you can easily purchase on Amazon separately.
First impressions
I was never a big fan of using mops and buckets for cleaning because of how much excess water would be on the mop, and then all over my floors. I would dunk a cloth and wring it myself into hot water and vinegar or hot water and diluted bleach and clean my floors by hand — but after pulling my back out earlier this year, that has become a thing of the past.
I was happy with how easy it was to use the mop and not have to bend over to clean or even get my hands wet. The maximum water line was also helpful so that the bucket was never too heavy to carry around from room to room and the splash guard was also an added bonus so that when using the foot pedal.
I like to follow Go Clean Co's recommendation of using hot water and powdered Tide to clean my floors (trust me, it works— even on sealed hardwood) and reach for this whenever I need to give my floors a fast but efficient clean.

Verdict
I highly recommend the Vileda EasyWring Microfibre Spin Mop & Bucket Floor Cleaning System for anyone looking for a way to clean their floors without lots of bending or scrubbing. I use mine on all of my hard floors and have been really pleased with how clean and shiny they are for the rest of the week.
The one thing I will say is that unlike with a wet vac or multipurpose floor cleaner, you will have to vacuum your floors first before cleaning— especially if you have pets.
