Everton host Bournemouth this afternoon in a game that will decide the outcome of their Premier League safety.

While Yerry Mina’s late leveller against Wolves offered a major boost in their hopes of Premier League survival, Sean Dyche’s side are not yet out of the woods.

Though it remains in their hands, the Toffees need to win to ensure they do not suffer a first relegation since 1960.

The Cherries are not exactly playing for much at the moment but have already smashed Everton twice this season and were relegated at Goodison Park back in 2020.

Indeed, they could be out for revenge.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Everton vs Bournemouth is scheduled for a 4.30pm BST kick-off time today, Sunday 28 May, 2023.

Goodison Park in Liverpool will host.

Everton vs Bournemouth team news

Both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Nathan Patterson have both been ruled out in major blow for Dyche, who has been without Seamus Coleman, Vitalii Mykolenko and Ben Godfrey of late.

Mykolenko will be assessed on Saturday and a later decision will be made on his fitness, while Amadou Onana is fit and available.

For Bournemouth, Philip Billing is set to be involved after overcoming a back issue, with both Hamed Traore and Joe Rothwell hoping to return for the trip to Goodison Park.

Gary O’Neil said on Friday: “Another training session to go tomorrow, see how they come through, but hopeful that we’ll be as close to full strength as possible.”

Everton vs Bournemouth prediction

Its going to be a very, very tense for the blue half of Liverpool. Still, Everton should have enough to avoid defeat to a Bournemouth team playing for very little.
