Hasina Kharbhih: Flouting a Trafficked Person’s Privacy is Traumatic for Survivors
While mental health issues are gaining acceptance in the society and there is a discourse on therapy, medication and counselling around mental health illnesses. The trauma of a person who has been illegally trafficked doubles if their privacy is hampered, says Hasina Kharbhih, founder and chairperson of Impulse NGO Network. She further shares that her organization may have rescued hundreds of young children, women and men from trafficking but it has always ensured to hide their identity so they can be rehabilitated in the society in ways that they choose to for themselves.
