Amy Schumer has said that she and her husband, Chris Fischer, are having sex once a week at the moment to “keep it going”.

The 39-year-old stand-up comedian and actor, who has 14-month-old son, Gene, admitted: “We’re really good about having sex once a week. We just keep it going because you have to.”

“Otherwise, you’re just like roommates and then it’s weird that you’re having sex.

“We make a plan. We go like, ‘Let’s have sex tomorrow or Tuesday. That’ll be a good day’. And then we do it and we go, ‘that’s great. We should do that more,’ but we still just do it once a week.”

Speaking about the six-week recommendation, Schumer said: “And I was hoping it was going to be longer than that because they just like sliced my FUPA open. I’m not like dying to, you know, get pounded from behind. Thank you very much.

“So I was very down to wait the six weeks and then, and then it was nice.”

She has been keeping fans updated with her IVF journey to have a second child, but it was put on hold because of the coronavirus pandemic.

In a post in February, Schumer gave an update on her IVF before it was put on hold.

“So ivf went like this for us. They retrieved 35 eggs from me. Not bad for the old gal right? Then 26 fertilized [sic]! Whoah right?”

“For all of those we got 1 normal embryo from that and 2 low level mosaic (mosaic means there are some abnormal cells but can still lead to a healthy baby) So we feel lucky we got 1! But what a drop off right? Anyway I have so appreciated everyone sharing their Ivf stories with me. They made me feel empowered and supported.”

She went on to share her IVF story with her 10 million followers, describing women who go through IVF as “warrior women”.

“Anyway I am so grateful for our son and that we have the resources to get help in this way. I just wanted to share and send love and strength to all of the warrior women who go through this process.”
