For Amy Schumer, Wednesday night’s special event called for an equally special dress. It marked the premiere of her first ever Broadway show, Meteor Shower, and she found the perfect Akris gown to go with it.

The play, written by Steve Martin and starring comedian Keegan-Michael Key and Laura Benanti alongside Schumer, takes place the night of a meteor shower. After the curtain call, Schumer slipped into a contrasting sky blue gown covered in star-like sequins, keeping the sky theme in tact.

Schumer took this opportunity to show off her figure, as the floor-length frock clung to her curves and featured a low-cut scoop neckline. She let the dress dazzle on its own, forgoing jewels and a complex hairstyle, which probably made for an easier post-show quick change.

Taking to Instagram to share photos from the red carpet, she wrote, “I guess I am an angel.”

The caption could be read as a dig at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which aired earlier in the week. Schumer has previously joked about it, sharing a photo of herself in pajamas last year with the caption, “Nervous for the big fashion show with the Hadids and Kylie!” with the hashtags #sohungry #loveparis #schumersisters #oldnavythreads #modelalert.
