Angelina Jolie Is Bringing Back the Questionable Accessory You Wore to Prom
We've definitely gotten used to cringing over throwback trends only to see them resurface in 2020. But when Angelina Jolie stepped out in LA with a shawl draped over her arm? Well, we had to do a double-take. The accessory instantly takes us back to the early '00s, when it was the go-to layer for proms, Sweet 16 parties, and weddings. We've since replaced it with actual jacket choices, such as leather options or blazers, but if anyone can make shawls happen again, it's Jolie.

In fact, the actress and humanitarian made a pretty great case for why we need one, too. For starters, her soft-looking option reminded us of a blanket, and would no doubt feel cozy when wrapped around our bodies on a cool summer night. It also perfectly matched Jolie's cream-colored maxi dress, creating a sleek, monochromatic look, which she then paired with a brown belt and her signature slides.
