Angelina Jolie Matched Her Face Mask to Her Summer Dress on Her First Outing During COVID
While she didn't come out and say it outright, Angelina Jolie made her mask-wearing opinion known when she was seen in Los Angeles alongside her daughter, Vivienne, at a pet supply store. During the outing, Jolie wore a soft grey cloth mask — as recommended by the CDC to slow the spread of the coronavirus — along with an airy white dress with breezy embroidered details and a Christian Dior shoulder bag. She finished the look with a pair of nude-colored, scalloped Chloé ballet flats.

Vivienne, who is 11, was also wearing a mask. Both mother and daughter also wore gloves. According to the Mirror, this is the first time that Jolie has left the house in months. Like many people, she's quarantining with her children, Vivienne, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and Maddox, all of which she co-parents with her ex, Brad Pitt. Jolie and Pitt filed for divorce back in 2016 and recently explained that she did it for her family. She and Pitt famously met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004.
"I separated for the well-being of my family," she told Vogue India. "It was the right decision."
While many of Jolie's Hollywood cohorts, like Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, are advocating for masks with PSAs posted to social media, Jolie's just setting a good example, sending the message loud and clear.
"Like most parents, I focus on staying calm so my children don’t feel anxiety from me on top of all they are worrying about," she said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar U.K. "I put all my energy into them."

Jolie is also continuing with her philanthropic efforts while in lockdown. In the wake of George Floyd's death and Black Lives Matter protests around the world, she donated $200,000 to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Before that, to support children affected by the coronavirus, she donated $1 million to No Kid Hungry.
