Today on Twitter, Pumpkin cream cold brew was trending at 9 a.m.. The drink is apparently available at Starbucks starting today because not even the pandemic can stop fall, even if it is still very much 28 days away.
Angelina Jolie, though, seems prepared in the quintessential fall outfit while out shopping for school supplies with her daughter. Jolie wore a simple black bodycon dress that fell off the shoulder, the kind that can be purchased at Amazon for as little as $18 with a pair of Valentino VLogo slides, the kinda that cannot be purchased on Amazon for as little as $18. Instead they are available at Nordstrom for $657 more. And even if Jolie is in Los Angeles where it's currently 88 degrees Fahrenheit, the outfit looks like exactly what you'd throw on to run to your local Starbucks while fall foliage crunches below your expensive Valentino-clad feet.
Maybe the fall outfits are a projection of our own excitement or maybe everyone is prematurely welcoming the new season, excited at the prospect of summer finally ending. Considering how summer 2020 played out, this wouldn't be too unlikely. The closer we are to fall, the closer we are to the end of this year and, hopefully, the closer we are to the end of the pandemic. And comfortable black dresses, easy slides, and yes, even Uggs, are the perfect fall uniform to hopefully usher in the better half of 2020.
