Anna Camp’s Second Wedding Dress Was Short, Flirty, and Feathery

Pitch Perfect co-stars Anna Camp and Skylar Astin tied the knot this weekend at their picture-perfect wedding on the California coast. Camp wore an ethereal Reem Acra gown for the ceremony, but — in a celebrity bridal trend that’s gone mainstream (because two wedding dresses are more fun than one) — the actress switched things up for her reception, slipping into a second dress: an above-the-knee white number with a feather skirt and lace bodice. Instead of heels, she opted to sport a pair of gold high-top Chuck Taylors to dance the night away. The fun, flirty dress was designed by Hayley Paige.

“Every kind of goals,” one person commented when Camp posted the irreverent ensemble on her official Instagram. “This is to the T what I would get married in,” another commented.

According to a photo shared on Astin’s Instagram, Camp seems to have switched up her hairstyle for post-ceremony too (either that, or it came apart on the dance floor!). At the beginning of the evening, her hair was swept back loosely and hung low at her neck. It was covered in a long, sheer veil that perfectly complemented the more traditional custom gown with its layered, lace-appliqué skirt.

But the scene stealer was the second dress: a dress that was made for partying. Outfit switcheroos are one of our favorite wedding style tricks, and some of of the most glamorous brides have pulled off the wedding costume change. In November 2014, Solange Knowles rode up to her wedding — literally, on a bicycle — wearing an ivory jumpsuit by Stéphane Rolland, and was later married in an ivory Humberto Leon for Kenzo dress with built-in cape. The two outfits were visually cohesive, because what else would you expect from the Knowles gene pool?

Just last month, Eniko Parrish‘s dream came true not only by marrying comedian superstar Kevin Hart but by donning two custom Vera Wang dresses. The first featured a lace bodice with an opaque bottom, while the second was head-to-toe lace.

And last October, Martha Stewart Weddings exclusively featured Jamie Chung’s dual-dress look at her nuptials to Bryan Greenberg. The Once Upon a Time actress wore an embroidered Jonathan Simkhai dress for her pre-ceremony pictures, then walked down the aisle in a dreamy Monique Lhuillier dress, according to US Weekly.

Of course there are also stars for whom two is simply not enough, and a third dress is in order for their big day. Model and cookbook author (and queen of social media) Chrissy Teigen is another Vera Wang devotee. For her wedding to soulmate John Legend, Teigen rocked a tulle number, then slipped into another, more fitted gown by the designer later in the evening. She ended the event wrapped in a third frock — this one a red mermaid version.

And who can forget the Kimye nuptials, where Kim Kardashian made us do a triple-take? In true Kardashian style, she wore three couture Vera Wang gowns. The first — immortalized in a wall-of-roses shot with husband Kanye West — was an ethereal cloud of tulle. The second was a mermaid-cut gown with a train so long it couldn’t fit in the photograph. And the third, a more simple satin gown, showed off the curves that made Kim famous.
