Anthony Davis expects to be fine going forward after an injury scare in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The Los Angeles Lakers star went down in the first quarter on Friday with an apparent foot injury after a collision with Miami Heat forward Andre Iguodala. Davis immediately started clutching his lower right ankle, and soon limped off the court.
Davis stayed on the bench but did not return for the rest of the quarter. When he did return, he was visibly limping at times for the rest of the game. The Lakers soon announced that Davis had reaggravated a heel injury.
After the game, a thrilling 111-108 Heat victory, Davis acknowledged the injury, but said he’ll be ready for Game 6 on Sunday.

Davis’ health is obviously a massive factor for the Lakers as they try to close out the Heat. The big man is averaging 26.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in his first NBA Finals, and his worst game — a 15-point, five-rebound night in Game 3 — was not coincidentally the Lakers’ first loss of the series.
