Gal Gadot will make her solo superhero debut in Wonder Woman in June, but she's been living the part IRL since filming.

A former Israeli Army combat trainer, the 32-year-old actress was made to play Diana, the Amazonian warrior. But when she had to return to London in November to reshoot several scenes for the upcoming movie, even her army training couldn't have prepared her - she had to film the iconic battle scene, in her famous Wonder Woman outfit, while 5 months pregnant pregnant.

Because her baby bump was clearly visible, the costume department added a green piece of fabric to her iconic battle suit so it could be altered in post-production, according to Entertainment Weekly. "On close-up I looked very much like Wonder Woman," Gadot told EW. "On wide shots I looked very funny, like Wonder Woman pregnant with Kermit the Frog."

Although there were limits on what she could do at that point, her commitment to the part impressed those behind the camera, especially director Patty Jenkins. Between executing fight choreography while pregnant to filming scenes in the freezing cold, Gadot truly embodied the idea of Wonder Woman. "There are so many things we asked her to do: Now do it on one foot. Now shout while you're doing it. Now it's raining in the freezing cold and you've lost your voice, go," Jenkins told EW. "Everyday it was a hilarious gauntlet and she would do it."

Gadot gave birth to Maya, her second child with husband Yaron Varsano, in March. Not only does she have a great story to tell her daughter, but this news will likely make fans that much more excited to see her show off her badass-ery onscreen.

Serena Williams won the Australian Open while pregnant, Gadot fought evil villians while pregnant... Your move, Beyoncé.
