In a year full of heartbreak and celebrity splits, it seems that Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o are proving that maybe there is hope for love, after all.

On Tuesday, the new couple seemingly confirmed their budding relationship when they were spotted holding hands during a romantic stroll in Joshua Tree, California. In photos obtained by People (which you can view here), Nyong’o was seen sporting a graphic T-shirt that said “It’s Okay to Cry,” during the outing, which she layered over a black and green long-sleeve and paired with bright yellow pants, a green beanie, and a yellow sweatshirt worn tied around her waist. Brown combat boots and a pair of circular sunglasses rounded out her ensemble, and she finished the look by throwing a Gucci handbag over her shoulder.

For his part, Jackson kept things equally as comfy by sporting a slouchy white T-shirt paired with brown pants, sneakers, and a matching blue beanie.

While neither Joshua nor Lupita have yet to comment on the relationship publicly, their PDA-filled outing comes just a day after they were last spotted leaving Erewhon together in Los Angeles Before that, they were also seen attending a Janelle Monáe concert together with friends in October.

The couple’s seeming relationship confirmation comes just months after Jackson’s ex-wife of over three years, Jodie Turner-Smith, filed for divorce from the actor in early October. According to a source for People, the actress initiated the split after she “decided she [was] done.”

“They are on very different paths in life,” the source shared at the time. “It turned into an unhealthy marriage that made her unhappy.”
