Apple's iPhone 15 shipped with a bug that left some users with the "Apple logo of death."
The issue occurred when they tried to transfer their information directly from an old iPhone.

Customers who snapped up an Apple iPhone 15 have been frustrated by a bug that left some of them with frozen screens.
The hotly anticipated new phone officially went on sale on Friday, when fans around the world lined up to get their hands on one.
However, after trying to set up the phones, some users started complaining about a bug that led to the "Apple logo of death," or a frozen screen, when they tried to transfer their information directly from an old iPhone.
One user said in a post on X: "I've transferred all the data from my old phone to my new phone, and for the past five hours it's been just sitting at the end of being finished ( Apple logo with status bar). Won't turn off, either."
"Just how long will I be without a freakin' functioning phone," they added.
The tech giant published a few fixes for the issue on Thursday, the day before the phones officially shipped.
If downloaded, Apple's new iOS 17.0.2 update resolves the problem. However, some users, including Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, said they weren't prompted to download the update when they turned on the new phones.
If the phone is already stuck on the Apple logo, users will have to restore the iPhone by connecting it to a Mac or PC via a cable.
Representatives for Apple did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment, made outside regular working hours.
The tech giant's new offering has seen promising early demand since the phone was initially unveiled on September 12. In a note last week, Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said preorders for the iPhone 15 were up between 10% and 12% year-on-year compared with initial preorders for the iPhone 14.
