Ariana Grande's 'miniest mini dress' raises eyebrows at Aretha Franklin's funeral

Ariana Grande arrived at Aretha Franklin‘s celebration of life service on Friday morning, set to perform in honor of the “Queen of Soul.” And although people have already expressed mixed feelings about the decision to invite the young pop diva to participate in the event, Franklin fans were perplexed about Grande’s choice of funeral attire.

The 25-year-old was seen walking into the church with her fiancé, Pete Davidson, by her side, causing a frenzy. But Twitter really erupted once people got a good look at what she was wearing, and they had positive and negative things to say about her appearance.

Wearing a black minidress and her hair in a long, high ponytail, Grande’s look wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for the performer. And that, according to some, was exactly the problem.

One user even remarked that Grande looked more like she was going to an award show than a church. However, others are acknowledging what an incredible honor it was for Grande to be invited and perform — including Hillary Clinton, who shared a sweet moment with Grande when they both arrived.
