Ariel Winter looks just like the Little Mermaid as she shows off red hair and a bikini in new Instagram photo

Ariel Winter looks like she’s ready to head under the sea in her new Instagram pic.

The Modern Family star, 23, took to the social media platform on Thursday to show off her new hair color. Instead of the platinum blonde look she has been sporting recently, the actress appeared on Instagram a redhead. This Ariel sported a colorful bikini in lieu of The Little Mermaid’s clamshells, however.

She captioned the post, “Does anyone else love games (especially board games) as much as we do?" She also added two emojis – a carrot and a symbol that reads top – to mark her hair color change.

Winter also shared several other photos, which included one of herself snuggling up to her boyfriend, actor Luke Benward. Others included Winter sipping on a frosty mixed drink and revealing her game of choice: Settlers of Catan.

While Winter looks confident rocking swimwear in this Instagram post, she previously admitted it is difficult to deal with body shamers, who never seem to be happy with her size.

In 2019, when a follower on Instagram alleged she had plastic surgery, she clapped back, "I appreciate you wanting to help girls love themselves the way they are, but you are also kind of cutting someone (me) down. I also didn’t get plastic surgery. That is also not being supportive of women if you’re just assuming something about the way they look."

That same year, an Instagram follower also accused the star of dropping pounds by using drugs to lose weight just like other people "living the Hollywood dream." She replied, "I'm sure you know EXACTLY what goes on or is hand in hand with EVERYONE in Hollywood seeing as everyone knows everything about people they DON’T know … I couldn’t have lost weight for any other reason just because of the industry I’m in?"

Fortunately, Winter seems to be using Instagram these days to show just how happy she is — thanks to board games and bikini days.
