Avengers: Endgame star Robert Downey Jr shares emotional goodbye

It's been nearly a month since Avengers: Endgame finally hit cinemas and broke pretty much every box office record going.
And, now that it's also been more than a week since Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo declared the spoiler ban lifted, the film's star Robert Downey Jr has gone public with an emotional video from his final day of shooting.
"I've got a lot of feelings," Downey says in the clip. "But I'm gonna follow Chris' lead, and I'm gonna save them for Instagram."

And save them for Instagram he did, as he captioned the video: "#picture wrap @avengers #TeamStark #thankyou #10outa #10.
"#Feelings, nothing more than feelings... #throwback #bts #10yearchallenge#steelydan #reelingintheyears."
Endgame marked Downey Jr's last appearance in the MCU after Tony Stark made a huge sacrifice to ensure Thanos was defeated in the final battle, with the film's writers later saying that there was never any doubt that Endgame would be the last time we saw Iron Man.
"Everyone knew this was going to be the end of Tony Stark," Stephen McFeely said, while Christopher Markus added: "It's a good death. It doesn't feel like a tragedy. It feels like a heroic, finished life."
Meanwhile, the Russo Brothers have revealed that star Robert Downey Jr had "mixed emotions" about Stark's arc in the movie.
"The Tony Stark arc is the longest and perhaps fullest in the MCU," Anthony Russo said. "Once we decided we wanted this kind of ending for the character, we certainly wanted to make sure Robert was comfortable with it, just because of his enormous contribution to the MCU.
"We did pitch it out. We went over to meet with him and we pitched it out to him. I think Downey may have had mixed emotions about thinking about [where Tony Stark ends up in Endgame], but I think at the end of the day, he totally accepted it."
