‘Bachelorette’ fans respect suitor’s decision to leave show right before finale

Monday marked the beginning of the two-part finale for The Bachelorette, and it was a great start. Lots of drama unfolded, but probably the most significant was when contestant Brendan Morais shocked Bachelor Nation by deciding to end his relationship with Tayshia Adams.

Morais started getting cold feet while trying on engagement rings with famous jeweler Neil Lane. Marais, who has already been divorced once, wanted to be completely sure before committing to marriage again. Shopping made him realize he still hasn’t fully healed since his last marriage.

“I want a wife and kids and a family more than anything on the face of this Earth,” he told Adams. “But then coming to the realization that there's a big part of me that's still broken.”

Having been previously married once herself, Adams was extremely understanding. That being said, she was also extremely disappointed.

“I really thought I was gonna end up with Brendan,” she said. “He's been a person every single day that I've been like, ‘It's Brendan.’ Every. Single. Day.”

While fans felt bad for Adams, they also respected the way Morais handled the situation.

Even though Adams was left in tears, she still had two remaining suitors. Zac Clark and Ivan Hall have great connections with Adams, and both appear to be excellent men. Plus, producers threw a wildcard into the mix by allowing Ben Smith to return after not receiving a rose in the previous week.

Who will Adams choose? We’ll find out tonight.
