The Great British Bake Off judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith made a pretty controversial decision when they picked this year's winner - leading to fans accusing them of robbing one of the runners-up of a rightful victory.

Going into Tuesday's series ender (30th October), Kim-Joy had the biggest support among Digital Spy readers, topping their finale poll with 35%. Just behind her was Ruby with 31%, while Rahul trailed with 20% and 14% most loved a baker who'd already been eliminated.

It was a hotly-contested finale, in which Rahul (possibly) came face-to-face with a doughnut for the first time, the bakers ventured outside the tent for the technical and the heat literally caused one of Rahul's glass containers to burst in the Showstopper round.

Rahul got extra time to compensate for having to start all over in the middle of the Showstopper round, and it was that drive that partially led Paul and Prue to crown him as this year's Bake Off champion.

There's a group of fans who definitely don't support that decision. They believe with every fibre of their being that the rightful winner was baking goddess Kim-Joy, and now they are absolutely furious that she's been denied her victory.

Think we're being over-dramatic? Just look at the sheer amount of tweets claiming Kim-Joy has been robbed:

The age-old fix claims were back too:

Kim-Joy herself was much more gracious than many of her angry fans, saying directly after the result was announced: "I am so, so pleased for Rahul but I'll just tell people that I was in the final."

She also congratulated winner Rahul on Twitter on Tuesday night:

So, that's it for another year of Bake Off! If you're already missing Paul, Prue and soggy bottoms, you won't have to wait too long for more of The Great British Bake Off. Just last week, Channel 4 confirmed that the likes of Russell Brand, Michelle Keegan, Rylan and Big Narstie will all be heading into the tent for The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer next spring.

Before then, we fully expect Paul, Prue, Noel and Sandi to be back on screens for a festive special (or two, if last year is anything to go by!) on Channel 4.
