Ballet Beautiful: The Celebs Toning And Honing By Spending Hours At The Barre

Anyone that’s ever done ballet will know just how beneficial it is to the body. It’s a great way to get in a bit of cardio, stretching and limbering - not to mention a foolproof way to tone your bod.
Up until a few years ago, it was a form of dance that we all did when we were little and wasn’t considered all that cool. But, slowly and surely it’s become one of the trendiest ways to get fit.
And for such a delicate and feminine dance form, it makes you seriously strong. No wonder so many celebs swear by it…
Victoria Beckham
Who knew VB was such a fan of pirouettes and pliés? The fashion designer admitted on Instagram that she’s gotten so flexible thanks to her ballet-based workouts. [Photo: Instagram/Victoria Beckham]
Karlie Kloss
Taylor’s BFF is a HUGE ballet fan. When she’s not modelling, she’s donning her ballet shoes and at the barre, working away. And judging by her figure, it’s working for her. [Photo: Instagram/Karlie Kloss]
Gigi Hadid
Gigi famously started up ballet to get toned and fit for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last year. She posted this photo with fellow model Devon Windsor showing the two of them at the barre, getting to grips with the dance form. [Photo: Instagram/Gigi Hadid]
Miranda Kerr

Misty Copeland
It’s probably slightly cheating to include Misty Copeland in this round-up considering she is an actual ballerina (she was the first woman of colour to score the position of principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre), but we couldn’t leave her out. Her figure is phenomenal - and she owes it all to ballet. [Photo: Instagram/Misty Copeland]
