Beauty Boys Jeffree Star and Manny Gutierrez Have a Makeup Collaboration Coming
Beauty boys are having a moment — and two of the industry’s leading influencers are teaming up to take advantage of it: Vlogger Manny Gutierrez and Youtube sensation Jeffree Star are launching a new makeup collaboration.
On Sunday, Gutierrez posted an Instagram photo of a kit with two velour liquid lipsticks as well as a highlighting powder called Skin Frost. His caption revealed the collaboration will officially debut in April 2017.

Fans of both MUAs are going wild with anticipation for this soon-to-come makeup release. One person suggested, “You should do a palette with highlighters. like an eyeshadow palette with highlighters instead of eyeshadow. that way you can put the highlighters in smaller portions, sell them for more, and it’s more accessible for people to try them and pick out the one they like the best. it’s like people getting all of them in one.”
However, before jumping the gun, we should note that the exact shades and textures of the products to be included in the first release have yet to be confirmed. One thing’s for sure, though, if the Velour Liquid Lipsticks are anything like the existing shades from Jeffree Star Cosmetics, they will be very pigmented with a matte texture, vegan, and cruelty free.
The Gutierrez and Star partnership comes just a few weeks after Milk Makeup announced the first genderless campaign, which included male beauty ambassadors. A short time before that, Gutierrez himself made major waves for becoming Maybelline‘s first male to star in one of the brand’s campaigns. If you rewind back a little further than that, you’ll recall mega-makeup brand CoverGirl introducing the world to the first “cover boy,” James Charles.
