Bella Hadid's off-duty bun tutorial is perfect for busy mornings
We are always in awe of the artistry behind polished blowouts and intricate updos, but when it comes to everyday hairstyling, it’s safe to say that most of us adopt a more laissez-faire attitude; opting for the snooze button rather than wielding multiple brushes or products.
It seems that Bella Hadid is in the same camp. The 26-year-old model recently posted a clip to TikTok showcasing her off-duty supermodel updo: slightly undone yet oh-so-chic. Admittedly, the 15 second video isn’t quite a tutorial, but rather, an easy hair inspiration clip perfect for a busy weekday morning.
In it, Hadid appears to gather her hair from the nape of the neck upwards, creating a hint of volume on the crown. She then swiftly twists the lengths of her hair to form a bun and tucks the end into it, negating any need for pins or hair ties. It might seem like hair wizardry, but with a bit of practice, it is doable with long enough lengths. Shorter styles can effectively recreate it with a some handy bobby pins. A claw clip is also useful to ensure the bun stays in place – and makes for an on-trend hair accessory too.
Hadid is a seasoned hair chameleon who has experimented with various hues, cuts and style; going from rich brunette to honey blonde last December and is often spotted in slicked-back styles. It’s refreshing to see her embracing a more relaxed side to her look. Models, they’re just like us.
