  • Bella Thorne is celebrating the Fourth of July in her own unique way.

  • The actress took to Instagram to post some pics of her sculpted booty in an American flag bikini with a caption that reflected her frustration with the current state of things.

  • Bella takes a balanced approach to her workouts, and almost never steps on the scale these days.

How was your Fourth of July? That’s cool, because Bella Thorne celebrated it in a cute American flag bikini, and she has some thoughts on the current state of things.

“PATRIARCHY CAN EAT MY 🍑,” Bella captioned a series of shots. In the pics, you can see the 24-year-old actress from the front and the back in a star spangled, high-waisted bikini, accessorized with her toned booty and seriously strong abs, of course.

Cue the comments section in Bella’s post getting completely engulfed by fire emojis…As per usual.

So…what does Bella do to get so strong? She actually works out with her brother, who is a trainer, according to Allure. “He's got me doing circuit training and weight lifting—I never do cardio,” Bella shared back in 2015. “A lot of people think that cardio burns off weight better than weight lifting does...but weight lifting works your muscles, getting them toned while losing fat."

Bella also told Hollywood Life that she’s big into yoga and “a bit of boxing” as well. Bella has also shared little BTS snippets that show she’s definitely not phoning it in at the gym. She once dropped a TRX routine that featured her doing crunches with her legs suspended in the air, and wowzer.

Naturally, Bella eats well, too. She loves to keep essentials like black beans, pasta, fruits for smoothies, vegetables, and some protein handy in her kitchen, she told Hollywood Life.

 

Still, despite her focus on being her most healthy self, Bella said on Twitter in May that she’s not obsessing over the scale. “Almost every day I have been to the gym in the last 6 weeks,” she wrote. “Turns out I only lost one pound of fat and gained one pound of muscle.. throw away your scales ladies because they don’t mean s**t. As long as YOU feel better and u like the way u look that’s all that matters.”
