Thanksgiving and Halloween have come and gone, meaning we’re nearing the home stretch of 2019.

While the month of November contains important public holidays like Remembrance Day and Thanksgiving for our friends south of the border, it’s also a month of major savings as we get closer to the holiday season.

With Black Friday just around the corner, you’ll want to look out for deals on certain items, while you’ll be better off waiting for others. Ahead, we’ve rounded up the best items to shop for this month, and what you’ll want to hold off on.

Although retailers like Victoria’s Secret and La Senza will undoubtedly hold Black Friday sales of their own, you’re much better off waiting a month or two. By late December and early January, many lingerie companies will hold semi-annual sales where you’ll find even bigger savings.

Like lingerie, exercise equipment will definitely be marked down for Black Friday, but you’re better off waiting to splurge on any large purchases. January is the best time to buy, as many companies will be offering promotions in time for all those New Year’s resolutions.

Toys

The month of November isn’t the ideal time to buy toys, despite what the ads may tell you. The two weeks leading up to Christmas will be your best time to buy toys, with deals of nearly 40% off.
