A shoe trend as pretty as the current ballet pump craze has been a long time coming.
Once the footwear of choice for everyone from Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Alexa Chung and Amy Winehouse in the '00s, the flats are staging a comeback this autumn/winter thanks to Miu Miu's cult ballet flats which kick-started the 'balletcore' trend.
We're welcoming this trend with eager feet because it has come at a time when we're getting a little fatigued with wearing chunky boots, Birkenstocks or trainers with everything.
Now, this autumn, it'll be all about teaming your ballet pumps with everything from dresses and jumpsuits to jeans and trousers.
Plus, as loads of this style of shoe now come in glam 'evening' versions you can wear them with your finery to a wedding or event (like these designer-look ASOS ones, or the diamante-encrusted Dune pumps). Comfy feet have never looked so fabulous.
A word of warning though: as with all completely flat shoes - including Converse, flip flops and your sandals - ballet pumps are not great for your feet if you're walking long distances due to the lack of support (amongst other things).
But for taking a whirl around the dance floor at a party, prettifying your office look or adding a touch of femininity to jeans, trousers and jumpsuits, ballet pumps are officially en pointe.
And we've found 10 of the best on the high street, including wide-feet offerings and more supportive styles.
