When it comes to eye shapes, I guess mine fall somewhere between creased and small. But nonetheless, my almond-shaped eyes, like most Asian eyes, have been cramped by eye makeup — eyeliner stamping above your crease, mascara never really doing anything, and don’t even get me started on where and how to apply eyeshadow.
And while I’ve resolved many of these makeup woes with the right products, techniques and lots practice, there was one thing I had a hard time getting board with for the longest time and that’s using an eyelash curler.
While my genetically short, straight lashes are the first to blame, curling my eyes with a conventional eyelash curler meant dedicating extra time that I didn’t have to my makeup routine. I’ve always found the shape of eyelash curlers to be totally flawed. They were always too curved in and too big to even sit on my lash line of my Asian eyes properly.
