Adorable BFFs think they're twins because they have 'the same birthday and the same soul'

Sometimes you and your bestie are so in sync, it feels like you’re twins. But two four-year-old BFFs actually think they are, and they won’t take no for an answer.

“My sister and her bestfriend think that they’re twins because they have the same birthday,” Victoria, who goes by @vickto_willy on Twitter, shared. An accompanying picture shows two little girls — Jia and Zuri — who look nothing alike, dressed in similar outfits. Victoria tells Yahoo Lifestyle that they both wanted to go to a friend’s birthday party dressed as princesses.

“So my sister Zuri and her best friend Jia were at the birthday party, and they had been telling anyone that would listen that they are twins,” Zuri’s older sister tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “They think that they are twins because they celebrate their birthdays together.” She adds, “They haven’t realized that they are actually two days apart … but they do know they’re the same age, four, are in the same class, and do just about everything together.”

However, while Jia and Zuri are convinced of their kinship, not everyone’s on the same page. As the pair were waiting in line for face painting at the party, Jia overheard a conversation between two other girls who said they were sisters. So, to strike up a conversation, Jia said, “You guys are sisters and we are twins,” according to Jia’s mom, Ashley Riggs Sarnicola.

Jia wanted to bond over sisterhood, but the conversation didn’t pan out the way she expected. “There is no way you and Zuri are twins! You don’t have the same skin color!” the fellow guest said in response, Sarnicola shared in her recap of the incident.

While Jia shed a few tears, she didn’t let it get her down. Instead, she delivered an epic comeback for the narrow-minded tot: “You don’t know anything; we are twins because we have the same birthday and the same soul,” she said.

Jia and Zuri’s love for one another has gotten the attention of the internet, where people are showering the little girls with compliments, with one noting that “these two are special.”

Another added on Facebook, “Omgosh that is precious! Jia can teach a lot to the ones that truly need to hear/learn it!” Others added that Jia’s “wise beyond her years” and that “these two can change the world.”
