I’m a bit of a lightweight Canadian when it comes to spending time outdoors in the cold. I much prefer the sun and warmth to snow, so as spring inches closer, I’m already counting down the days until I can take my workouts outside.

Lululemon’s All The Right Places Crop II leggings, ideal for things like running and HIIT training, are a good option when taking your workouts outdoors. These ¾ length compression tights provide support where you need it and feature side pockets to keep your belongings in place while you move.

Made from Lululemon’s signature Full-On Luxtreme fabric, they’re designed to be sweat-wicking and breathable through every activity.

What shoppers are saying

With more than 1,300 reviews, these leggings have received a mixed bag of opinions from shoppers. The reviews are filled with comments ranging from, “The best, my favourite Lululemon tights!” to “Unfortunately they haven't worked the best for me,” and everything in between.

The biggest complaint coming from reviewers who aren’t in love with these leggings is that they tend to slide down despite their high waist, although some say this can be solved by wearing them during higher-impact workouts where you’re more likely to be sweating.

“I ran in [these leggings] today for the first time,” reads one review. “At the beginning, I panicked, because there absolutely was slipping. After the first half mile, I think the sweat made things stick. They melted to my body and didn't move for the rest of the run and all through bootcamp, I'm currently a huge fan.”

Another alternative is to size down, since they do tend to stretch out a little over time.

“I really love these tights. I have read a few of the reviews, many of which are negative, and find myself wondering whether I am reading about the tights that I cannot seem to get enough of. I did buy a size down than my usual size, so maybe that helps....regardless - I love them,” adds another.

The verdict

While the verdict on these tights may still be out, if you stick with a smaller size and high-intensity workouts, there’s a better chance of them working in your favour. If you’re willing to deal with a little stretching, then these may just be the pair for you.
