Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki are the definition of a strong friendship. Through thick and thin, the former Big Bang Theory costars continue to be there for one another (14 years and counting!), including on their special days.
In honor of Kaley’s 36th birthday on November 30, Johnny posted the sweetest throwback photo on Instagram. In the pic, a clean shaven Johnny looks away from the camera while Kaley gives him a side glance.
“Happy belated 48th birthday to my / worldwide adored, Mooks. @kaleycuoco,” Johnny captioned it on December 1. After taking in the blast from the past snap and reading his birthday message, Kaley responded back with a string of laughing emojis.
For the second year in a row, Johnny joked about Kaley’s age. But this time, he was a lot closer to the correct number. Last fall, the actor posted a photo gallery on Instagram of them together over the years to celebrate his former onscreen spouse.
"The happiest 74th birthday to my fake wife @kaleycuoco. You know how much I adore you and respect you. I’m so proud of all you are doing and so happy with your happiness," he wrote in 2020. "But most of all, our friendship and partnership over the years. XO, dear. Congratulations on 82 years of age."
And Johnny’s joke was an instant hit with Kaley. "THIS IS EVERYTHING! I LOVE U MOOKS! Even at my old age of 82!" she replied in the comments section.
The duo, known as Leonard and Penny to Big Bang Theory fans, dated off camera in the early days of the CBS sitcom. The couple called it quits in 2009 after two years together and have been close friends ever since.
On the day of her birthday, The Flight Attendant actress got candid on her Instagram Stories about how she was really feeling. "Sometimes it's okay to not feel totally okay. Even on [your birthday] ❤️🌈," she wrote. "I have the greatest fam and friends there ever was."
After enjoying some time with horses and doing a bit of shopping, Kaley was in better spirits thanks to her loved ones. "The amount of LOVE I received today was overwhelming," she later wrote. "The messages. The gifts. The calls. The check-ins. All of it. Meant the world to me."
We wouldn’t be surprised if Johnny was one of those people who made her day a little brighter.
