Kaley Cuoco has admitted she doesn't want The Big Bang Theory to end – and wants a reboot in 2020.

The actress, who plays Penny on the long-running sitcom, attending Sunday night's (January 6) Golden Globes when she was asked to sum up her thoughts on the show's imminent finale.

The Big Bang Theory will come to an end this year following 12 seasons on air, and it seems that Kaley really wishes it wouldn't.

"I don't wanna leave, I don't wanna leave," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I said it. I don't wanna leave!

"Everyone's doing rebooting. We might as well do it in, like, a year. I'm fine with that!"

Someone sporting a different view is Kaley's Big Bang Theory co-star, Jim Parsons.

The actor, who plays Sheldon Cooper, recently confessed that he thought it was "the right time" to end the series, which is why he turned down millions from CBS to float the show for a 13th season.

He told Entertainment Weekly: "There is no negative reason to stop doing Big Bang.

"It felt like we have been able to do this for so many years now, it doesn't feel like there is anything left on the table. Not that we couldn't keep doing it, but it feels like we've chewed all the meat off this bone.

"I guess at a personal level, it feels like the right time in my life."

It's not all bad news for The Big Bang Theory though, as it will welcome an iconic Lord of the Rings star to its final season later this year.

It's not all bad news for Kaley either, as she and other cast members are expected to earn a small fortune even when the show ends thanks to reruns.

The Big Bang Theory airs on CBS in the US and on E4 and Netflix in the UK.
