To say that Billie Eilish's spread in British Vogue caused quite a stir on social media for the last week would be an understatement.

The 19-year-old nearly broke the internet last week after unveiling a stack of sultry photos to her more than 84 million followers. Eilish traded in her signature baggy clothes in favour of a bustier, stockings and heels — a very different look than what fans are used to seeing her in.

On Monday, during an appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.", Eilish called the reaction to the photos "amazing" but "scary." According to Eilish, the overwhelming response has made her weary of sharing photos in the future.

"I think it more just makes me never want to post again," she explained. "I feel like I wanted to post more when less people cared, and now that more people care, it's scary to me."

The "Bad Guy" singer's photo was such a shock for fans, it reached a record-breaking one million likes in under six minutes on Instagram.

"I mean, it's amazing," she added. "It was so weird, the day that all those pictures came out because I'd post one and then I'd see, 'Billie Eilish has broken the record for the fastest picture ever liked!' And then I would post another one, and it would say, 'Billie Eilish just broke the other record she just broke with the new fastest picture ever liked!' It's been crazy. It's been a very weird, surreal week."

The singer also addressed her decision to deviate from her usual style for this particular shoot while speaking with British Vogue in the accompanying interview.

"I've literally never done anything in this realm at all," she told the publication "You know, besides when I'm alone and sh—."

Eilish also confessed that her choice to wear a corset had a lot to do with some insecurities that she has over her body.

“If I’m honest with you, I hate my stomach, and that’s why," she said, adding that she anticipated reactions along the lines of: “‘If you’re about body positivity, why would you wear a corset? Why wouldn’t you show your actual body?’”
